I love writing the "family rules" on the wall like this! I so want to do this, now I just need to find the perfect wall....

White Chocolate Cherry Chunkies Cookies

To mix things up, I decided to try a new cookie recipe and found this one from Paula Deen. Now, instead of candied cherries, I used dried cherries. Some people really liked the entire cookie, however, a few liked the cookie, just not the cherries. So, if your family doesn't like the idea of cherries, maybe try cranberries instead. I personally liked the cherries, but I'll try the cranberries next to see how that turns out. It's a yummy recipe!

The Princess Festival

Rain or shine, it is princess time! Miss A and I had a fabulous time at the Princess Festival with MJ and Miss MC. Miss A got the cutest updo. Then, they did crafts and helped save Snow White, Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella. The little Miss's even got new princess costumes, because one can never have too many! :)

Honey Lime Chicken Enchiladas

Here is a yummy dinner recipe that I found on this site. You can use corn tortillas or flour. I used more lime juice and less chili powder than it calls for. It is tasty!

Fun Summer Project Ideas

The kids are finally out of school. Our short summer is finally underway. I've been trying to plan some fun places to go and some fun projects to do. I came across these cute ideas from Martha Stewart.

I came across this really fun clothing line for kids. I especially like the shirt selection for the boys. The company is Appaman and it has a unique Scandinavian perspective on Ameripop iconic imagery.

Ultra Stay-cation Backyard Campout

We've tried to do a camp-out with our friends for quite sometime now, and it finally happened.....except not in the mountains, but our backyard. Although not much of a "camp-out" activity, we got an inflatable slide and jump house. It was a hit with the kids!

The movie "Bedtime Stories" did just the trick to calm the crew down

Not to be left out, Mr. D, of course, joined in the fun and started running an obstacle course race.
Although rain spoiled some of the morning activities, the kids were no about to let it rain-out the party! They would go do their part in the race, freezing all the way, then jump in the hot tub to get warm. It was time to clean the hot tub anyway! :)

There is nothing like exhaustion from fun times!
