Gourmet Doughnuts

A new bakery opened up close to where my daughter takes gymnastics, on 12300 S. 177 W. in Draper, Utah. It is a very lovely store called Beyond Glaze. They make the most incredible and wonderful yummies. I mean, doughnuts are tempting enough, but gourmet doughnuts? Come on! Needless to say, they are a must try! I've never seen doughnuts look so beautiful and inviting! Oh, and here are a few of their flavors: Pineapple Tart, Key Lime Crumble, S'more, Blueberry Bliss, Raspberry Mango, Cookies & Cream, and German Chocolate. I can't decide which is my favorite!

Mini Mosaics

I happened upon another blogger by the name of Alisa today and thought, "huh! I'll check out her site. You don't see too many other Alisa's out there." Well, I'm glad I did because I found a darling new jewelry company that she owns called Mini Mosaics. Alisa, the owner of Mini Mosaic, describes her jewelry by saying, it is a "uniquely designed, sterling silver pendant that is creative and versatile. It allows you to design your own jewelry using interchangeable art tiles. Whether classic or contemporary, Mini Mosaic is wearable art for every occasion."

She has so many fun and unique mosaics. I love that you can just change them depending on your outfit and mood. What a great idea!

Keep Calm and Carry On

Is it just me, or does motherhood have some major ups and downs?
OK, so maybe it is just life in general. On a daily basis, I find myself on different extremes: "I can totally do this! I love being a mom! My kids are so fantastic!" then the next minute: "how does anyone do this? how am I going to get through today sane? I don't know if I have any ounce of patience in my body!" I find myself getting overwhelmed with just the idea of what I need to accomplish or would like to accomplish....and that is just the idea, not the reality! Oh! How I need a course on time management! I'm desperate for it!
This poster might just help with a settle reminder each day. I'm always a sucker for "historical" things too.

HISTORY OF KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON:

The Keep Calm and Carry On poster has a fascinating British history. In 1939, in anticipation of the Germans attacking England, the British Ministry of Information commissioned Keep Calm and Carry On posters to help the population deal with their fears. Although 2.5 Million Keep Calm and Carry On posters were printed, the Keep Calm and Carry On poster was never actually issued and only a handful of Keep Calm and Carry On posters ever went into circulation.

Things changed in 2000, when British booksellers unearthed an original Keep Calm and Carry On poster in a box of books. The original artist is unknown, but they started reproducing the poster and now the British can’t seem to get enough of the poster print.

These prints can now be found everywhere in Great Britain, from homes to pubs to government offices. It is quickly proving to be popular Stateside with its wisdom for all seasons and situations.

There are quite a few stores on Etsy that have these posters. I think that here and here have a good selection.

Mabel's Labels

I love Mabel's Labels! I used them with J Boy on his bottles and sippy cups so they didn't get mixed up with another child's cup or bottle. The labels are still on even with a thousand washings! They are great for backpacks, clothes, shoes, household storage cans and bins. I love them!

Baby Carriers

With my babies I have used both a sling and the Baby Bjorn. I have loved both for different reasons. However, just for fun, I would love to get a new baby carrier. These are two baby carriers that I think are darling!

Super Cool Kid Clothing

I came across this really fun clothing line for kids. I especially like the shirt selection for the boys. The company is Appaman and it has a unique Scandinavian perspective on Ameripop iconic imagery.

J Boy's New Favorite Toy

My children love to play with all the fun toys at Pottery Barn Kids while I shop and look around. We end-up staying there for quite awhile because they are so entertained. Last time we were there, J Boy found a new favorite toy, and he is not easily attached to toys. For some reason, he just really loved these Sprig Vehicles and would NOT let it go! At the time, I didn't understand why he was so attached, but they really are pretty cool vehicles. Bonus, they are eco-friendly too!
These all-terrain vehicles are made of 100% recycled materials and feature playful, cartoon-like shapes that are irresistible to kids. Even better, they don’t require batteries. When kids roll and bounce the vehicles, it charges the power supply so that each vehicle lights up and produces sounds when the wheels turn. Plus, when the Adventure Guides are popped into the driver’s seats, their headlamps light up.

For people that HATE to Iron like me!

Downy® Wrinkle Releaser® is an easy-to-use spray that reduces wrinkles and helps keep your casual clothes looking neat without all the hassle of ironing. Its unique formula relaxes fabric fibers, helping to release wrinkles. And Downy Wrinkle Releaser leaves clothes with incredible softness.

This is a beautiful product. I use it almost on a daily basis. I despise ironing and will avoid it at all costs. That is why I have come to cherish my acquaintance with this product. The outcome is not always perfect, but pretty close....close enough for me.
